Back on the past Relationships with my Prescription Eyeglasses
When I was a kid, wearing eyeglasses was a “horrible disaster” for me. It was not that hard to figure out why. A girl wearing a pair of that thing would make herself a funny panda or a nickname of “four eyes”.
As a result, I didn’t admit that I was nearsighted, trying my best to look at the blackboard for quite a few grades in primary school. But as my eye condition deteriorated, I had great difficulties to see the words on the blackboard, and I had no choice but put on a pair of glasses. I really didn’t want anybody to know that I had glasses – what a big shame! Once my classmates knew, they would laugh at me. So I just put them on when it was necessary. Therefore, sometimes I’d been back and forth, because I didn’t know whether I should put them on. During that time, I felt rejoice when I could see clearly, and I felt just as well when I just couldn’t see something.
Apart from that reason, it was really inconvenient to buy a pair of eyeglasses, especially since I started to buy prescription glasses. I had to go to see the doctor, waited for a long time, got a series of examinations, and finally expected for nearly half a month to finish that exhausting process.
What made the situation escalate into the previous-mentioned "disaster" was that those prescription eyeglasses were too expensive for me to afford. It was really a dilemma that my parents wanted my eyes health through using prescription eyeglasses, while our family finance was greatly threatened because of that warmly kind intention.
What could I do except continue my upgrading grudge against those glasses that had upset me for quite a while? Gradually I found that I couldn’t live without my glasses. Besides, wearing contact lenses or even carrying out an eyesight recover operation was really not a feasible act then.
The story between my prescription eyeglasses and me, however, has taken a favorable turn since my first knowledge of "buying prescription eyeglasses online". One schoolmate of mine encouraged me to buy some glasses online after she had tried already and was deeply obsessed with this newly-appeared pattern of buying glasses. And now it has been my turn to fall in love with it.
I will then explain the reasons of that interesting shift of my mind and attitude, and I, from now on, would like very much to share with you my experiences, novel or joyful, as well as my feelings and thoughts, strong or soft, considering eyeglasses, prescription glasses, online, fashion, and considering others or me, men or women, old or young, and so on and so forth.
